How Victims of These Crimes may get the world's attention through local, national, and international groups

One victim of these crimes suggested that one of the best ways targets of Organized Stalking and Electronic Harassment can make a change in their lives is to take local responsibility in forming groups. I believe this idea can be one of the main ways in which we can make a great difference in terms of raising awareness of Organized Stalking and Electronic Harassment. Local groups can be very inexpensive to, in many creative ways, near free to run. Being in a an activism/support group can help reduce many aspects of the targeting, and when groups network together locally, nationally, and internationally, it can create a ripple effect in that showing through very visible united effort, like a group in at least each major city in your region/country/state/etc. it can show both a united front and it helps victims of these crimes further bridge that gap in which we cannot find each other and do not know what each other is doing. Here are some ideas that I hope can get us started in that direction and why I believe local groups can be a great catalyst in stopping these crimes permanently:
  1. Targeted Individual Activism/Support groups made of both victims of these crimes as well as our supporters in each major city is one way to show a united front around the world. Take the United states for example. One local TI Activism group in each major city in all 50 states at a minimum, especially the capital of each state. Imagine if each local group decided collaboratively to do an activism event each month----together on the same date. Imagine each doing an activism event at something like the voting booths on Election Day all at the same time in each state? Or one on the Fourth of July for example (since freedom is denied all who are victims of these crimes, such as the right to be let alone) That is at least 50 TI groups in each state showing a united front, regardless of individual dynamics of each group or why each group believes that targeting takes place (it is much more important to show a united front in stopping these crimes than how each of us believes the targeting stops. We can each as a collective in terms of groups draft a sort of human bill of rights that we each agree each person is trying to reclaim and let that be the way we stay united regardless of any differences that may come up, such as the universal human rights doc by the UN. Maybe use it to draft our own.) Also imagine if each group decided to pick maybe three media stations, like maybe one mainstream and two popular alternative media (such as infowars.com, RT, Democracy Now! etc.) and called them up to ask (and if we must, demand) press coverage. Plus groups can do their own inexpensive PR for the local groups and for each other.
  2. Local established groups can affiliate with larger organizations like Freedom From Covert Harassment and Surveillance or if there are differences, agree to work together with an organization in the name of stopping these crimes, such as showing a united front as above. Plus with already established groups that are willing to affiliate and collaborate with each other, the need for organizations to heavily branch out can be eliminated to a certain extend. All groups need to do is agree to keep each other in the loop of what each group is doing, group leaders can hold community conference calls with other members across the united states and the world once a month to discuss with each other on what each group is doing so each can participate in their own area or if not, provide free PR for that groups event via social media like twitter, vimeo, youtube, facebook, myspace, etc.
  3. Local groups can keep contact with each other and sister/affiliate groups around the world via the conference call idea above, web rings, doing a weekly or maybe bi-weekly newsletter each advertising each others events, start an online group solely for the purpose of each group advertising what each will do in a month, dates and times of the next events, engaging each other in monthly chat sessions like once a month in conjunction with the monthly conference call to discuss further collaborative ideas among each TI group, give each other news, etc. Using free platforms like Yahoo! groups, open source forum software, Google! Groups, Ning, Facebook, etc. Again it helps each other stay in the loop
  4. Local TI groups that get a call from someone who needs assistance, but that person does not live near by, because they network with each other on a regular basis, can readily refer that individual to a TI group closer to their location. The online group forum can be a way to keep track of each local TI group that is currently active and this can be the way referrals can be made. Inexpensive options for using contact numbers can be Google Phone, Skype, or an 1-800 number where you can ask this person to leave a message and you will get back to them in less than 24 hours.
  5. A lot of freebies exist for TI groups to utilize and there are many creative ways to keep costs down. Free software, free websites such as wordpress (esp. wordpress, since you can ask members to contribute to it regularly. It can also be another creative option for local and international TI groups to post events to a central website for that purpose. Currently I hold one url I hope may be used for that purpose, called ForOurRights.org  --- further discussion will be on this soon). I will create a doc that lists a lot of freebies that local groups can use to train each other, start up their local groups in their area in as inexpensive and simple ways as possible. Some ideas I currently have are listed on this page http://www.ircampaign.info/p/activism-what-you-can-do.html

I'm going to keep adding ideas to this page and hopefully full discussion of these ideas among already established groups and those who wish to start their own can come. If you have ideas to add here, please click on the Contact Us page to add your ideas via e-mailing us.
